The food-mood connect: What’s harmful to our body is also going to have an effect on our mind


 Our physical and mental selves are entangled; they are not two distinct beings. What is bad for our body will also be bad for our mind, and the reverse is also true. There are trillions of cells in our body, and each food molecule that enters them has an impact.


Healthy eating, however, does not entail going to extremes. More harm is done by psychological deprivation than by denying yourself particular foods. This is the reason fad diets fail. You can process your emotions by meditating, going for a walk, deep breathing, or simply sitting in silence. We might feel better after eating comfort food, but only temporarily. It makes no attempt to deal with the problem or difficulties. It is simpler for us to develop emotional intelligence when we are aware of this.
